Plain-English version: we collect what you send us, we use it to do the job, and we don't sell it. The detail is below.
When you fill out our contact form, request a bid, or email us, we collect the details you choose to share — typically your name, company, phone number, email and a description of your project. Our website also logs basic technical data (IP address, browser type, pages visited) to keep the site secure and to understand which pages help our customers most.
We use your information to respond to your inquiry, prepare bids and proposals, schedule work, send invoices, and answer questions about projects we've already completed. We never sell your information, and we don't share it with third parties for marketing purposes — full stop.
Inside Silver Creek Electric, Inc., your information is visible to the project manager, estimator, and office staff handling your job. We use a small set of trusted vendors — email hosting, our website host, and our CRM — and they're contractually required to protect your data the same way we do.
Bid requests and project records are retained as long as we're legally required to (typically 7 years for tax and contract records under California law). Marketing inquiries that don't turn into projects are deleted after 24 months of inactivity.
We use minimal cookies — only what's needed to make the site function and to measure aggregate traffic. We don't use behavioral advertising trackers. You can disable cookies in your browser; the site will still work, but some features may be limited.
California residents have rights under the CCPA, including the right to know what we've collected about you, request deletion, and opt out of any sale of personal information (we don't sell data, but you can still confirm that). We protect your information with industry-standard safeguards: encrypted database storage, TLS for all web traffic, principle-of-least-privilege access for our team, and regular security reviews. No system is 100% bulletproof, but we treat your data the way we'd want our own treated.
Our services are aimed at commercial clients. We don't knowingly collect information from children under 13. If you believe we have, contact us and we'll delete it immediately.
